Comment: I was just browsing for Sacred Heart prayers and came upon your site. I was very moved by the poem Bereaved, which brought a tear but also some comfort. Its my fathers anniversary tomorrow (Fri 13th). He died on Fri 13th six years ago I still miss him terribly. Anyway, I digress, I think this is a lovely site and will visit again. Comment: Novenas to Saint Joseph have brought calmness to
me because I belive that Joseph and Jesus have a special bond. I
asked Jospeh to help me find a father for my son. I asked him to like
himself would help me find a man that would walk toward
responsibility instead of away. I prayed the novena for 30 days and
stopped - it was hard to have faith enough to finish upon completion.
A few months later, I met someone that I married a year later and
have now been married over 6 years, and we have my son who is 13 and
have had a darling boy together. In the deal I got a foster father
for one son, a helpmate and a chance to have another baby. I look at
my family and feel so deeply happy and content dispite the harshness
of the world. Saint Joseph, I love you.

Comment: St Joseph has been a major influence in my life since my 1950s childhood. The image of him holding Jesus in his arms has deeply influenced me as a father. I remember well my own father carrying myself and my sisters and brothers. He and our mother are gone from us but their influence as our parents have never been forgotten.
