Show us that what really matters is trust in God. Help us to lose all self-trust and root us in poverty, that we may be willing to go to God with
empty hands. Teach us that the whole meaning of our existence and the one consuming desire of the heart of God is that we should let ourselves be loved. Help us to open ourselves to God's inpouring of merciful love, and teach us to accept ourselves as we are and God as He is. Amen
